The Covid-19 pandemic highlighted the lack of care for vulnerable older adults in America. The death toll among older adults was significant, with reports of chaos in nursing homes and seniors experiencing isolation, depression, and neglect. However, the actions advocates hoped for have not materialized, and Covid-19 has now become an accepted part of everyday life. Efforts to improve care quality in nursing homes have stalled, and few people are taking precautions despite a new wave of infections. Older adults continue to be disproportionately affected by Covid-19, but there is a lack of outrage and support for them.
